Do you have concerns about your smile? Our Cosmetic treatments can change your smile and give you the confidence you have always wanted
Cosmetic bonding can make your teeth appear straighter, close gaps and correct imperfections in your smile. This treatment allows you to get rid of those imperfections often without having to undergo lengthy treatment or wear braces.
Tooth wear occurs when the enamel outer surface of the tooth erodes exposing the inner dentine layer. As the dentine is much softer the tooth can wear much more quickly and stain faster.
Factors contributing to tooth wear include incorrect teeth brushing technique, high acid and teeth grinding.
At Field House Dental Practice we are very used to seeing patients suffering from tooth wear problems. These might be due to tooth grinding (which can be related to sleep and breathing problems), acid from the diet or coming from problems such as reflux, or sometimes due to the position of the teeth in the bite.
We have helped many people with these problems and have a great deal of experience in managing the different types of wear problem to give people back their smiles as well as the function of their teeth.
We use many different techniques to correct these problems but always with one aim..to put back what has been lost and not cause further damage by adjusting teeth. Please take a look at some of the cases in our gallery to help you see what options are available.

A veneer is a thin slice of porcelain, or a tooth-coloured composite, made to fit precisely over the front surface of a tooth, much like a false fingernail on a nail. Veneers can be an ideal way to instantly alter the appearance of your teeth, hiding discolouration, closing small gaps and repairing chips and cracks.
Veneers are a powerful tool for creating beautiful smiles with the minimum of damage to the tooth.
Often we will now use alignment with orthodontics to give a result that in the past would have been achieved with veneers but sometimes, when there is discolouration and irregularities within the surface enamel (as with this patient), porcelain veneers are the best option.
